Holden man killed in single-car crash

GREENSBURG, LA (WAFB) - State Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor in a deadly single-car crash in St. Helena Parish.
According to reports, Thomas Rowland, 22, was driving on LA 37 near LA 449 when his tires ran off the road in a curve, overcorrected and ran off the road and hit a culvert.
Rowland was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators say alcohol use is suspected. A toxicology analysis is being performed at the State Police Crime Lab.
