Man accused of stabbing wife during argument

HOLDEN, LA (WAFB) - Deputies said a woman is in the hospital and her husband is in jail after a stabbing Sunday.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said Mark Crayton, 51, of Holden, is facing aggravated second-degree battery and other charges.

Deputies said his 42-year-old wife remains in a Baton Rouge area hospital. They added her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

LPSO said the woman was stabbed during an argument.

Crayton was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on the following charges:

Aggravated second-degree battery

Domestic abuse battery

False imprisonment

Aggravated assault

His bond was set at $41,000.

Detectives are still investigating and more charges are possible.
