BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police said a Crime Stoppers tip led them to a woman wanted in the stabbing of her ex-boyfriend.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported US Marshals arrested Martina Gibson, 29, Friday morning after receiving information on her whereabouts through Crime Stoppers.
She was wanted for attempted second-degree murder.
Baton Rouge Police say Gibson went to her ex boyfriend's house on April 22, 2013 in the 2700 block of Main Street in Baton Rouge around 2 a.m. She is accused of stabbing him that morning during a domestic dispute. The man's injuries were minor.
Three days later, police say Gibson returned to her ex boyfriend's home and stabbed him in the chest multiple times, causing life threatening injuries. The ex boyfriend did survive.
Investigators said Gibson was found at a home on North 47th Street in Baton Rouge Friday morning.
Gibson was charged with attempted second degree murder, aggravated battery with a knife, aggravated assault with a firearm and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
Gibson was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
