BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge has been named one of the top five cities to be young, broke and single.
Moneyunder30.com says LSU and warm winters help the Red Stick score high on the list.
The list was compiled by looking at the number of single adults from 18-44, low unemployment and cost of living, and the number of bars in the city.
Rounding out the top five were:
4. Columbus, OH.
3. Durham, NC.
2. Salt Lake City, UT.
1. Austin, TX.
New Orleans made the list at number seven.
Baton Rouge was also ranked in the top 10 for young adults by Portfolio magazine and in the top five by Kiplinger.
