BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Many organizations gathered to ask the Louisiana Legislature to reject Gov. Bobby Jindal's policies.
Organizers said representatives from more than 40 groups attended Tuesday's rally on the steps of the Louisiana Capitol. They called the governor's policies "distorted and discredited." They added they want him to adopt a "pro-common good agenda."
The organizations said the goal of the gathering was to "reclaim their history, their culture, their infrastructure and their government."
Nick Foley will have more on the rally in the evening newscasts.
