BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The attorney general of Louisiana is urging customers who lost money because of a failed Baton Rouge gym to file a consumer protection claim.
Attorney General Buddy Caldwell said in a written release that people who signed up for a membership with Powerhouse Gym and were not properly reimbursed should file a claim with the Louisiana Department of Justice's Consumer Protection section.
District Judge Tim Kelley issued a judgment allowing the attorney general's office to create a registry of customers who suffered losses due to the failed business.
Those wishing to join the registry have until May 31 to file a claim.
They can do so by calling 225-326-6400 or sending an email to PowerhouseClaim@ag.state.la.us.
Officials advised claim filers should be prepared to show documentation of their financial losses.
