Despite the chilly forecast, you'll find WAFB's Jay Grymes and Matt Williams taking the plunge into some cold water in Gonzales on Saturday. It's all part of the 'Polar Plunge' to help benefit Special Olympics Louisiana.

Special Olympics holds programs in our state each year for some 13,000 children and adults with disabilities. They are able to pull it off with the help of thousands of volunteers. The goal is to promote understanding, acceptance and inclusion between people with and without disabilities.

And, in talking to the families of those who participate in the events, Special Olympics truly makes a difference in their lives. That's why Matt and Jay have decided it's important to be 'Freezin for a Reason.'

If you're interested in helping Special Olympics or to learn more about the event and how you can see Matt and Jay take the plunge, just go to Polar Plunge.
