Man wanted for Wyoming St. murder

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police are searching for a 21-year-old man that is wanted for his involvement in a murder that happened on August 6, 2012 on Wyoming Street in Baton Rouge.

Jerron Nicholas Davis, 21, and a 16-year-old boy are both accused of the murder of 24-year-old Travis Holland.

The shooting happened at the Pueblo Apartments on Wyoming Street in Baton Rouge around 10:30 p.m.

The complex is located just blocks from the north end of the LSU campus.

Officers responding to the shooting found Holland. He had been shot one time.

He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

Investigators said they learned he was shot in the front yard of the complex, stumbled into his apartment and fell on the floor.

Detectives confirmed robbery was the motive in the shooting.

The 16-year-old was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with first degree murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
