BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police have made an arrest in the death of the owner of a salon. The victim's body was found in the trunk of a car Thursday morning.

The Baton Police Department said Damarcos Dross, 19, of Baker has been arrested in connection with the death of Clifton Walker III, 27, also of Baker.

Dross is charged with accessory to first-degree murder, accessory to arson and felony theft.

Detectives believe Walker had an argument with the suspect and was hit by his own car and put in the trunk. According to the East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office, the preliminary cause of death for Walker is crushing injuries to the head and torso. The manner of death, they say, is homicide.

Police think Gross and at least one other suspect tried to burn the 2010 white Dodge Challenger behind a business on Evangeline Street in Baton Rouge.

Investigators said other arrests are expected.

Walker was found in the trunk of his Challenger in the 4500 block of Evangeline Street. It was in the parking lot of Vizion's Barber and Beauty Salon.

Walker was the owner of Alter Ego Salon.

The case remains under investigation.
