BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The violence that plagued the end of the weekend in Metro Baton Rouge continued Monday night with a shooting that left one person dead and another wounded.

This one happened in the 6000 block of Oak Park Drive in Baton Rouge, which is the Glen Oaks area, around 11:30 p.m.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said Dederick Droze, 24, was found dead inside a car.

Deputies said another man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

His name was not released and his condition is unknown.

Investigators said they learned the two victims were shot while inside the car.

A man was seen running from the scene after the shooting, but there was no description.

EBRSO is looking for him.

Detectives have not released any information about a possible motive for the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
