LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) - An Albany man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the brutal kidnapping and rape of a woman in February 2011.
Allen Lee Martin, 25, was convicted last month of breaking into a woman's home and raping her at knifepoint.
The District Attorney's Office says Martin was arrested when he took the woman to buy drugs. A State Trooper pulled the car over because the vehicle's tail light was out. The victim told the officer what had happened.
At the time of his arrest, Martin claimed he did nothing wrong.
Martin was sentenced to life without parole for aggravated rape, 25 years for kidnapping, 10 years for armed robbery and 12 years for aggravated burglary.
