JACKSON, MS (WAFB) - The man charged in the death of a priest and taking his car for a Disney vacation could soon see his case go before a grand jury.
Jeremy Manieri is accused of killing Fr. Ed Everitt in Mississippi.
Everitt served at a church in Hammond for some time.
Authorities said the priest was robbed an shot at a beach house in Waveland, MS in July.
They added Manieri did construction work at the home.
Manieri's attorney said he has "serious reservations" about his client getting a fair trial in Mississippi.
Attorney General Jim Hood released a political commercial in which Manieri was referred to as a cold-blooded killer.
