GONZALES, LA (WAFB) - Authorities are looking for a man accused of using a stolen credit card to buy an iPad, gas and other items.
According to the Gonzales Police Department, Robert Thibodeaux, 42, is wanted on several charges.
Investigators don't know where Thibodeaux lives, but believe he is in the Baton Rouge area.
They said a Capital One MasterCard was reported stolen from the Walgreen's in Gonzales on Oct. 21.
About 25 minutes after it went missing, three charges were made on the card for about $766. Officials said 11 total charges were put on the card.
Police said an iPad was purchased for almost $700, about $30 worth of gas was bought and about $50 was spent at another store.
Detectives reported the iPad was bought at an AT&T store. Video from the store showed a man and woman together. Thibodeaux was later identified as the man in the video. The woman is unknown.
The man in video captured at a Murphy's Express where gas was paid for with the card before the purchase at the AT&T store is also believed to be Thibodeaux.
Investigators said he is related to the owner of the vehicle seen on surveillance tape, based on the license plate number. They said Thibodeaux used the card to put gas in the vehicle.
Thibodeaux is wanted for forgery, felony theft in excess of $500 and identity theft.
