WAFB expands 9News This Morning with launch of Early Edition
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Beginning September 12th, 2011 WAFB-TV will add more local news each morning with the launch of 9News This Morning: Early Edition.
9News This Morning: Early Edition will begin the day with local news at 4:30am, Monday-Friday on WAFB-TV, Channel 9.
"Our viewers have made our morning newscast among the highest rated morning newscasts in the country," said WAFB News Director Robb Hays. "As more and more people start their day earlier, we want to continue to be their choice for local interesting and informative morning news."
The live broadcast of 9News This Morning: Early Edition will be anchored by Matt Williams and include weather reports from Diane Deaton and traffic from Johnny Ahysen.
9News This Morning: Early Edition will run from 4:30 to 5am and lead into Baton Rouge's most watched morning show, 9News This Morning which airs from 5 to 7am.
