Meth lab fire suspect turns himself in

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man wanted in connection with a fire believed to be caused by a meth lab turned himself in to authorities on Thursday.
Michael Blount, 20, surrendered at the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office and was taken to the parish prison.
Blount was charged with creation and/or operation of a clandestine lab.
The fire was contained to one room in a house on Bonnie Drive.
Detectives discovered items at the scene used in manufacturing meth, including a butane bottle, several melted coke bottles, coffee filters and a heating element.
