Suspect pleads guilty to SU murder
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man accused in the murder of a Southern University student pleaded guilty Monday night.
Rhine Reynolds was supposed to stand trial for first degree murder beginning Tuesday for the murder of 20-year-old Sophie Arnold.
He entered the guilty plea to second degree murder during a change of venue hearing.
Sophie Arnold's body was found near a levee on the Mississippi River back in 2007.
Reynolds was arrested two months later.
He now faces life in prison for the crime.
