Robin Richardson joined KPLC in July of 2018 as the Weekend Anchor/ Reporter. She was born and raised in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex where, at an early age, she developed a passion for dance and a love for learning more about people. She attended the University of North Texas where she was a member of her student News station NTTV serving as an anchor for Thursday Nightly news and a weekday reporter.

While in college, she was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader for three years and a Kilgore College Rangerette two years prior. During her final season as a cheerleader, she joined the Dallas Cowboys broadcasting team as a Special Projects Reporter.

Robin’s hobbies include dance, reading, going to the movies, eating great food, and being around people that make her laugh.

She is proud to be in Southwest Louisiana but will continue to be a Cowboys fan through and through.

In January 2019, CHRISTUS Fund awarded $75,000 to the Family & Youth Counseling agency to support its Healthy Mothers program. This program addresses the priority area of Mental Health that “has been designated as an area of concern for the Southwest Louisiana Region.”
