Originally from Upstate New York, Amanda dreamed of getting away from the snow that confined her to my house for about five months out of the year.
After completing her associate degree, Amanda began searching for the next step in her educational journey. While visiting some family in Baton Rouge, she was taken on a tour around LSU and she instantly fell in love with the campus and the culture.
After graduating from LSU, Amanda decided to stay and make Baton Rouge her home.

After the LSU Tigers went 43-19 in the 2019 season, the team finishes the year ranked in the top 10. The squad comes in at No. 10 in the USA Today/NFCA Poll and finished at No. 12 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.
LSU women’s basketball has hired Cherie Cordoba as an assistant coach for the team, head coach Nikki Fargas has announced. Cordoba, a native of Australia, brings two decades of collegiate and international experience to the squad, including her last five seasons at Buffalo.
The LSU softball has earned five NFCA All-South Region honors. Shemiah Sanchez, Amanda, Sanchez, Shelbi Sunseri, and Aliyah Andrews have all earned first team honors, while freshman Savannah Stewart was named to third team.
Today marks the first day on the job for Scott Woodward as the new Athletic Director for LSU. Woodward penned a letter to the LSU community about what he plans to do and accomplish as the new Athletic Director.
