BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge teen cashed in big, with only seconds to spare, during a basketball shooting competition Friday night.

Sarah Slaton, 15, took part in a halftime contest at a basketball game between Dunham and Catholic High.

Slaton is a freshman at Dunham.

The contest, sponsored by Investar Bank, required the contestant to make four different shots in 60 seconds to win cash prizes.

Slaton first made a layup for $50, followed by a $100 free throw, and a $200 three-point shot.

Then came the big one. Slaton had to make a shot from half-court for an additional $1,000.

On her fourth attempt, Slaton sunk the shot, with just one second left on the clock.

She took home a total of $1,350.
