Deputies identify 19-year-old accused of murdering man in Baton Rouge RV park
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A 19-year-old was taken into custody after allegedly shooting and killing a man in an RV park Wednesday night, Feb. 14.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday at Night RV Park on Florida Boulevard, not far from O’Neal Lane.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 20-year-old Sergio Estuardo Baleu-Cucul. He was found with multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.
On Thursday evening, Feb. 15, deputies said Kentrell Brothers, 19, was taken into custody for his connection to the shooting.
According to arrest records, Brothers chased Baleu-Cucul through the RV park with a gun and shot him, then left in a silver-colored SUV. Detectives were able to identify Brothers through fingerprint evidence left at the scene.
Brothers was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of second-degree murder.
