Unsettled weather pattern lasts into Tuesday morning

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Sunday’s severe weather threat has come to an end, but the unsettled weather pattern will last into Tuesday morning. Monday will see off and on sct’d t-showers. We don’t expect severe weather to be a major issue.

Temperatures will remain warm with lows in the low 70°s and highs in the mid 80°s. A cold front will sweep through the area Tuesday morning bringing sct’d to numerous showers and t-storms. One or two storms could be strong to severe until the front moves through just prior to lunchtime.

The rest of Tuesday will be dry.

A slight and brief cool down will take place Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning. Temperatures return above normal by Thursday afternoon. A slight rain chance will occur to close out the week as a weak cold front moves through next Saturday.

Temperatures stay much warmer than normal with highs in the mid 80°s for the first half of next week. A few chances for sct’d t-showers will be in the forecast for next week.
