GONZALES, La. (WAFB) - A leak that led to a water outage, impacting residents in the Gonzales area on Friday (Nov. 25) morning, has been fixed, according to city officials.

Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux confirmed crews are wrapping up repairs and the water is back on for everyone in the city. He added there was no need to issue any boil water advisories.

Crews discovered the leak at the corner of Burnside Avenue and New River Street, next to Dutch’s Cleaners, Arceneaux said.

Crews are working to repair the leak but will need to turn off all the lines to elevate the water towers and get the water turned back on for residents.
