Police arrest man accused of attempted sexual abuse of an animal

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Law enforcement has arrested a man wanted in Baton Rouge for attempted sexual abuse of an animal.

Rage Hewitt, 28, is accused of making sexual advances toward two guard dogs and unlawfully entering a business in the 3400 block of Cedarcrest Avenue, near Coursey, on May 20, according to Baton Rouge Police Department.

Police said he was extradited to Baton Rouge and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison after being arrested in Ascension Parish on an unrelated charge.

Hewitt is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, attempted sexual abuse of an animal, and unauthorized entry of a place of business.
