We might see a shower or two on Monday, the last day of January, but the vast majority of the area stays dry. However, it will be a different story for Tuesday, Wednesday, and into Thursday of next week with scattered-to-numerous rains over that three-day period. Area rain totals for the three days could top 1.0″ or more. While it is too soon to confidently assess any severe weather potential, that will need to be monitored next week.
