18-year-old dies Sunday in South Choctaw Drive shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police Department officers responded Sunday, Jan. 9 to a deadly shooting that occurred around 4:20 p.m. on South Choctaw Drive, near Dallas Drive, according to officials.
BRPD’s spokesperson said Shawn E. George II, 18, died at the scene after suffering in the roadway from gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains ongoing.
