Meal, other types of distribution sites set up for Ida victims

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Officials in parishes with damage from Hurricane Ida are partnering with GOHSEP, the Salvation Army, the Louisiana National Guard, and other groups to provide meals and other items to those in need.

ASCENSION PARISH:

  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will be giving out supplies at St. Paul Baptist Church (14130 Hwy 44, Gonzales) starting at 1 p.m., while supplies last.

EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH:

  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will be distributing supplies at Gloryland Baptist Church (6745 Greenwell Springs Rd.) beginning at 10 a.m. while supplies last.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will be distributing supplies at CB Pennington Jr. YMCA (15550 Old Hammond Hwy.) beginning at 10 a.m. while supplies last. The distribution is being hosted by The Stitches Group.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will be distributing supplies at Greater New Hope Baptist Church (1896 E Flanacher Rd. Zachary, LA) beginning at 11 a.m. while supplies last.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will be giving out supplies at Greater Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church (5352 Ford St. Baton Rouge) starting at 2 p.m., while supplies last.

LIVINGSTON PARISH:

  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will be giving out supplies at Iglesia Del do Vivo (8835 Chicksaw Ave., Denham Springs, LA) beginning at 9 a.m.

ST. HELENA PARISH:

  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Greater Food Bank of Baton Rouge will be giving out supplies at New Star Ministries (6685 Hwy 1042, Greensburg, LA) beginning at 10:30 a.m. while supplies last.

ST. JAMES PARISH:

  • On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Greater Food Bank of Baton Rouge will be giving out supplies at JaVon Ophelia’s ACT (2130 W. Main St. Lutcher, LA) beginning at 10 a.m. while supplies last.
