Prairieville pair arrested for setting fire to a vacant bar

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Louisiana State Fire Marshal and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and woman from Prairieville for setting fire to the Bayview Bar, a vacant bar located on Highway 16 in Port Vincent back in December.

Bridgett Boutwell, 33, and Joseph Solar, 32, were booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on one count each of simple arson, criminal trespass, criminal damage to property and burglary.

The pair are facing additional charges related to the cases from another agency.

According to the State Fire Marshal, the pair admitted to breaking into the building and a setting the fire.
