BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Low pressure tracking along our coast has delivered a bout of winter weather to the Deep South, but for the vast majority of our area, it’s just been a very cold rain from late Sunday into early Monday.
Rains will end quickly this morning, but clouds will likely stay with us through the day, keeping highs in the mid 40s.
We should start to see some clearing late tonight and if skies clear soon enough, a light freeze will be possible from metro Baton Rouge north and eastward on Tuesday morning.
We’ll then enjoy a good deal of sunshine on Tuesday, but temperatures stay on the chilly side as highs only reach the low 50s.
Generally cool and dry weather can be expected through the remainder of the week, although a slim rain chance can’t be ruled out on Friday in association with our next cold front. In the wake of that next front, it looks like temperatures will again be below normal for next weekend.
