BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - It was a close game the entire way when the LSU women’s basketball team hosted Tennessee in the PMAC on Sunday, Jan. 10, and the home team came up just short.
LSU (4-6, 2-2 SEC) fell 64-63 to Tennessee (8-1, 2-0 SEC).
Khayla Pointer scored 25 points in her second-straight game to lead LSU. She also had five assists. She is now in the top 10 on the LSU career assists list, sitting at No. 9 with 387. She jumped Latasha Dorsey (384; 1996-99) and Marie Ferdinand (384; 1997-01).
Tiara Young added 11 points for the Lady Tigers.
