BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Just a few days after announcing the new hires on the offensive side of the ball with new offensive coordinator Jake Peetz and passing game coordinator DJ Mangas at LSU, the Tigers received more good news for the offense as senior wide receiver Jontre Kirklin announced via Instagram that he would be returning for another season.

The Lutcher, La. native had 13 catches for 184 yards and three touchdowns during the 2020 season. Kirklin finished third on the team in receiving touchdowns behind Terrace Marshall Jr. and Kayshon Boutte.

Kirklin is the lastest player on offense to return for another season, joining Ed Ingram, Chasen Hines, and Liam Shanahan. On the defensive side, Neil Farrell, Ali Gaye, Andre Anthony, and Glen Logan have announced they’re also returning for another season.
