NEW ORLEANS (WAFB) - All five starters for the New Orleans Pelicans scored in double figures for the second-straight game in the win over the Toronto Raptors in the Smoothie King Center on Saturday, Jan. 2.
The Pelicans (4-2) came away with the 120-116 victory against the Raptors (1-4).
Brandon Ingram led the way with 31 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Zion Williamson added 21 points and seven rebounds.
Both Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams recorded double-doubles. Bledsoe had 19 points and 10 assists. Adams had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Alonzo Ball also had 13 points to go with four rebounds and four assists.
The Pelicans squandered a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter but then stepped up defensively to limit the Raptors. With the game tied, 113-113, and a little more than 1:00 left, Bledsoe hit a 3-pointer to put New Orleans up for good. Ingram made four free throws in the closing seconds to secure the win.
New Orleans is 2-0 in the Smoothie King Center and will be there again on Monday, Jan. 4, when the Pelicans host the Indiana Pacers (4-2) at 7 p.m.
