OKLAHOMA CITY (WAFB) - The New Orleans Pelicans had seven players score in double figures to rebound from their loss to Phoenix and roll through the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Pelicans (3-2) cruised to a 113-80 victory over the Thunder (1-3).
Steven Adams had his first double-double as a Pelican with 14 points and 10 rebounds in his return to play against his former team. Josh Hart also had a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Brandon Ingram led New Orleans with 20 points, despite getting ejected with 3:00 remaining in the third quarter. It happened on a play in which he fouled Isaiah Roby. Ingram also had seven rebounds. Eric Bledsoe added 17 points.
Lonzo Ball had 16 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. Nickeil Alexander-Walker put up 14 points. Zion Williamson chipped in 12 points in only 17 minutes due to foul trouble.
The Pelicans were 44-of-92 (47.8%) from the field and 13-of-36 (36.1%) on 3-pointers. They were also 12-of-19 (63.2%) from the free throw line. New Orleans dominated down low, winning the rebound battle, 58-40, and winning the points in the paint column, 54-30.
