BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. has been named a first team All-American by the America Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
It is the second straight year the sophomore defensive back from Baton Rouge has earned the honor, making him just the 12th Tiger to be named a first team All-American twice in a career by AFCA.
Stingley played in seven games this season and finished with 27 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and five passes defended. He also recovered a fumble.
