SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla. (WAFB) - Federal and state agents from Louisiana visited Florida as an investigation into a 2019 shooting involving Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy continues.

In May of 2019, Youngboy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, and his associates were exiting the Trump International Beach Resort when a black Cadillac Escalade drove up and opened fire.

Gaulden was not shot. However, his girlfriend Kaylyn Long, 19, was injured and hospitalized.

A five-year-old boy was also grazed by a bullet during the shootout. He was treated and released at the scene.

Mohamad Jradi, 43, was killed in the crossfire when a bullet traveled into his car across the street and entered his head.

A source with knowledge of the ongoing investigation said state and federal law enforcement from Louisiana connected with law enforcement in Florida to review details of the case and share intelligence.

Members of Louisiana’s law enforcement community were also taken to the scene and allowed the chance to interview several individuals with knowledge of the shooting, the source said.

Arrests have not been made in the case.

Gaulden was in Florida to perform at the Rolling Loud Music Festival Sunday night. Several other crimes were connected to performers at the festival, including rapper Kodak Black being arrested on a weapons charge, and Chicago rapper AAB Hellabandz’s murder outside the Cameo nightclub on Miami Beach.
