FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Chilly start, sunshine returns

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Indeed, a cold start to this December Friday, Temperatures at or slightly below freezing since shortly after midnight.

At least we’re not looking at gusty winds so the feels-like temperature is cold but tolerable!

It was great to see the sun again yesterday and more sunshine is on the way today, with light southeast winds and high topping out in the upper 50°s to lower 60°s.

Overnight, a few more clouds so we’re not expecting another light freeze. Lows will stay in the lower 40°s.

Tomorrow, a mild Saturday with highs in the mid 60°s but get the umbrella ready for late in the day; 40% coverage during the afternoon/evening increasing to 70% late.

The wet weather will wind down early Sunday morning. Some clouds will linger during the day. Highs will top out 62°.
