(WAFB) - Officials with Ascension and Livingston parishes announced Thursday, Sept. 17 that all waterways will reopen to recreational traffic at 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18.
Waterways in both parishes have closed to recreational traffic since 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 due to the storm surge from Hurricane Sally.
Officials anticipate the waterways will be safe to operate for recreational purposes beginning at 6 a.m. Friday. Waterways remain closed to recreational traffic until that time.
