Rama restaurant, Thai staple in Baton Rouge, closes its doors after nearly 40 years
Rama was known for its odd Khaki exterior. The interior of the building is just as quirky. Mirrors line the walls of the entrance area, leading into an open dining room with several small tables. The staff is known for always remembering a customers name and greeting them with a smile. (Source: WAFB)

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Rama, a famed Thai restaurant tucked away near the Perkins Road Overpass, closed its doors as the company approached 40 years in business.

Staples on Rama’s menu included its numerous flavorful curries, its popular duck dish, and several noodle dishes.

The restaurant’s owners hope to one day put out a cookbook containing recipes of some of their more popular dishes.
