BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - ExxonMobil Baton Rouge says it’s taking steps with its contractors and vendors to limit staffing at its refinery. This is to limit the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus.

Exxon says contractors and vendors are being notified of appropriate next steps.

“Our focus is on protecting critical operations personnel from exposure so they are able to continue operating the facility safely, and to do our part to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the community. We expect to continue plant operations with critical staff to be able to deliver fuel and products to support community and society’s needs.”
