BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Southern baseball team only managed a total of four runs and surrendered 33 in a weekend sweep by No. 23 Tulane.
The Jags (6-9, 3-0 SWAC) fell 10-2 to the Green Wave (13-2) in Game 3.
Southern managed five hits in the game but Tulane had 13. The Jags struck out 12 times.
Joseph Battaglia (1-1) took the loss for Southern. He allowed six runs on eight hits in five innings of work. He struck out one batter and walked two others.
The Jags (6-8, 3-0 SWAC) fell 7-0 to the Green Wave (12-2) in Game 2.
Tulane had 11 hits in the game to just three by Southern.
The Southern baseball team had just two hits and committed four errors against No. 23 Tulane on Friday, March 6 on Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
The Jags (6-7, 3-0 SWAC) fell 16-2 to the Green Wave (11-2).
