Power restored to downtown Baton Rouge after underground transformer fire

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An Entergy spokesperson says power has been restored in downtown Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesperson Curt Monte said an underground transformer caught fire and caused a power outage around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Entergy spokesperson Brandon Scardigli said power was restored to approximately 200 customers in downtown Baton Rouge around 3:30 p.m.
