Man arrested after allegedly defacing historic cemetery, other buildings with graffiti

Man arrested in connection with graffiti at cemetery, buildings around Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Police have arrested a man for allegedly defacing property with graffiti in Baton Rouge.

Brandon Hayes, 31, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on 14 counts of criminal damage to property by defacing with graffiti and one count of criminal damage of historic buildings and landmarks with graffiti.

Police confirm the suspect is connected with graffiti found at Sweet Olive Cemetery, areas near 22nd Street, and in downtown and Mid City.
