BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - One person was shot Monday afternoon in Baton Rouge, emergency officials say.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 at N. 38th Street and Winbourne Avenue. Officials say one person was injured and transported to a local hospital.
Injuries did not appear life-threatening, according to BRPD spokesperson Don Coppola Jr.
Around the same time, police were also called to investigate a shooting in the 3500 block of Winbourne Avenue. Investigators believe the two incidents are not connected.
