BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - If you’re looking for a way to give back this holiday season consider heading to LifeShare Blood Center on Friday, Dec. 20.

LifeShare is hosting a blood drive to help feed the hungry.

For every blood donation they get on Friday LifeShare will donate approximately three meals to St. Vincent de Paul.

According to Regional Director Stephanie Duplessis, you can save up to three lives with each blood donation and the average cost to feed someone at SVdP is around $1. So LifeShare will donate $3 for every blood donation.

Assurance Financial is matching every LifeShare Blood Center donation.

Blood donors can come donate at the new LifeShare Blood Center. LifeShare will also have mobile blood drives throughout East Baton Rouge parish.
