FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Quiet today, rain returns Friday

FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Wed., Dec. 4 - Quiet until Friday

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - It’s another quiet December morning.

It’s not quite as cold as it was yesterday but still, temperatures are on the chilly side.

Throughout SE LA and SW MS, we’re starting off some 7 to 12 degrees warmer than early Tuesday, now in the upper 30°s to lower 40°s.

Watch for areas of patchy fog. Overall, not widespread but you could see a bit during your early drive. Otherwise, enjoy another mostly sunny day with light northerly winds and a high in the upper 60°s.

Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies and a chilly low of 43°.

Tomorrow will be another umbrella free day, dry and mild with a high of 70°.

Our next rainmaker will move into the area Friday. The storm team doesn’t expect it to be very impressive in terms of activity, though it could make for a wet and messy morning commute.

Expect to be rain-free by Friday afternoon.
