2 arrested in deadly armed robbery on N Sherwood Forest

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on N Sherwood Forest Drive that happened Nov. 16.

The Baton Rouge Police Department announced Thursday, Nov. 21 the arrests of Felisha Smith, 38, and Ronald Irvin, 51. Smith faces charges of principal to first-degree murder and armed robbery, while Irvin is charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.

At around 2:15 p.m Saturday, Nov. 16, detectives with BRPD began responding to a report of a shooting in the 2100 block of N Sherwood Forest Drive near Bard Avenue.

BRPD spokesman, Sgt. Don Coppola Jr., identified the shooting victim as Charles Arnold, 29, of Denham Springs. Arnold was found Saturday afternoon inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.

Arnold was transported to a hospital but later died of his injuries.
