BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Color Run is back! WAFB anchor Lauren Westbrook spoke with the run’s project manager to get a preview of the event for this week’s Get Fit Red Stick.

The run starts Saturday, May 18 at 8 a.m., and is located at 700 4th Street, which is between the Capitol Park Museum and the State Library of Louisiana. Check in starts at 6 a.m. Runners should expect to become a rainbow by the end of the run. The course has five color zones, including a tie dye zone.

The mission of the marathon is to make fitness accessible for everybody. Runners will not only get their heart rate up, but will also running for a good cause for the community. The Color Run is partnering with Girls on the Run, a non-profit that gets girls empowered with themselves through running and teamwork exercises.
