FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Scattered rains, possible thunderstorms expected over weekend

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - All this week, clear and mild spring weather has been most welcome – thanks, in a large part, to an area of nearby high pressure keeping us dry and temperatures close to the norm for mid May.

A little more humid for your Thursday out-the-door but all quiet on FIRST ALERT Doppler radar, which is a definite plus for ANY morning drive around here! Sunshine this morning – a few more clouds this afternoon, perhaps a spotty shower or two (10% coverage), light SE winds and a high in the upper 80°s (the “norm” 86°).

Overnight, mostly clear and mild – a low of 65° – tomorrow, partly cloudy and increasing humidity, spotty rain – a high Friday of 88°. So, looking good for Live After Five and for Baseball at the Box (tonight AND tomorrow night) but after that, our forecast gets a little “iffy” with rain returning to SE LA and SW MS over the weekend.
