Man arrested after shooting, killing wife in East Feliciana Saturday

EAST FELICIANA, LA (WAFB) - George Bailey has been arrested for a shooting incident that occurred Saturday May 4, in the 600 block of Hwy 61 in East Feliciana Parish.

The victim’s name is Kathy Frazier. Frazier was 55 years old. The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office spoke with Frazier’s family Sunday and learned that Bailey and Frazier were married even though they do not have the same last name.

Bailey is charged with second degree murder and was booked into the East Feliciana Parish Prison.

It is believed by EFPSO investigators that Bailey shot Frazier due to some type of domestic dispute around 3 p.m. Saturday. Bailey was transported to the hospital after the shooting for an unknown reason before being later transported to the prison for booking.

The investigation remains ongoing.
