8-year-old girl, two others injured in St. Claude shooting
The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in the St. Claude neighborhood that has left three people injured.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in the St. Claude neighborhood that has left three people injured.

Police reported the shooting around 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Piety Street and Marais Street.

According to investigators, two suspects began exchanging gunfire at the scene and then fled in separate vehicles.

Three victims who were in the area at the time of the shooting were injured during the shooting. An 8-year-old girl and a 29-year-old woman were grazed by bullets. A 26-year-old male received a gunshot wound to the upper right torso. All three victims were taken to a local hospital by private conveyance for treatment. They are all listed in stable condition.
