Mother and baby reported missing from Cherokee St. home found safe

UPDATE: NOPD said both were located in good health Sunday afternoon.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a mother and her baby who were reported missing from their home Saturday (April 28).

Police are searching for 36-year-old Chen-Hui “Maria” Lo and her daughter 4-month-old Emmanuelle Lo-Jones.

According to Lo’s husband, he awoke around 7 a.m. Saturday morning and found that his wife and daughter were missing from their home in the 400 Cherokee Street. He initially believed that his wife took their daughter for a walk. When he later attempted to contact his wife, he was not able to get in touch with her. Lo and their daughter have not been seen or heard from since.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Chen-Hui “Maria” Lo and her daughter Emmanuelle Lo-Jones they are asked to contact NOPD at (504) 821-2222 or any Second District Detective at (504) 658-6020.
